SHOOT DOWN PLANE BOMBING FIELD HOSPITAL Boches Try to Make Escape on Foot, But Fail—Admit Shelling Cemetery Memorial Day. WITH THE AMERICAN ARMY ON THE FRENCH BATTLE FRONT, May 31. — One of the German aeroplanes which has been bombarding American hospitals nightly has been shot down within the American lines and its occupants made prisoner. The machine was a threeseater. The Germans attempted to make their escape on foot when their macliine came down but they were quickly captured. The men admitted that they had taken part in the bombardment of the American cemetery during the Memorial day exercises.
