vi;ni; ancikxt i:gyitians HKSTIAL? Perhaps the most striking note in the many interior scenes In the film "Cleopatra" is the animal-like form of the furniture. Cleopatra's throne is a lion, its body making the seat, and Its head roaring majestically in front. Lounges were often in the shape of swans and sphinxes furnished the motif for many a table and chair. Rirds and beasts abounded in the valley of the Nile, and the Kgrj'Ptians were literally so thrown with them, that the great consideration of dumb animals Is shown in their religion, their art and in their home life. Storks were sacred to the Egyptians, snakes and crocodiles were sacred. Cats enjoyed a distinction and a deference that they have never since poess-'ed. Indeed, it is said that an invading Persian army driving a batallion of cats ahead of it was allowed to conquer KKypt unmolested. to cnary were the inhabitants of harming sacred animals. Part of the duties of the priests of the temples was the care of sacred menaserie of swans, cats. crocodiles, snakes, storks and bulls. The Horrible Handicap of Poisoned Blood

Tlio Imminent SulTer i:cii Into tinThird and l ourtli Generations Hut Holicf Is Notv in sUilit. It has long been accepted as a matter of course that the sins of the fathers must be suffered by innocent posterity, yet it is hard to become reconciled to this condition. The heritage ot physical infirmity is a handicap under which thousands must face the battle of life. Scrofula is probably the most noticeable of the transmitted blood disorders, though there are other more severe diseases of the blood that pass from one generation to another. No matter what inherited blood taint you may be laboring under, f. S. S. offers hope. This remedy has been in general use for

more than fifty years. It is purely vegetable, and contains not a particle of any chemical, and acts promptly on the blood by routing all traces of the taint, and restoring it to absolute purity. Some of the most distressing cases of transmitted blood poison have yielded to the treatment of S. S. .s:.. ana no case should be consIoV ered Incurable until this great remedy has been given a thorough trial. S. S. S. acts as an antidote to every impurity in the blood. AT Tim AUniTOUITM. William Fox has a new play for his star Gladys Rrockwell which is being1 shown at the Auditorium today. The new play is called "Her One Mistake" and is the work of George Scarborough who has turned out many brilliant plays for the spoken stage and the screen. In the drama Miss Rrockwell plays the part of two women. She has had a peculiar success in presenting two personalities and in the new production she is said to have wonderful opportunity to display her cleverness in the line of work. The story deals with a crook who poses as a wealthy man and two girls fall in love with him only to be mistreated and deserted. Other pictures being shown today are the Pathe News of late events; Mutt and Jeff, the famous cartoon characters; and a beautiful hand-colored film showing "our Game Birds" and other attractive subjects.
