New s-TInies Sne-ial Servb e: INDIANAPOLIS. March 3 Marion county's roads are too good. Not, all persons who have to travel them this time vf year, especially if they have to use an automeibile pleasure car or truck, agree with that statement, but the board of county commissioners has been to! 1 the roads nre in too good a condition of repair. A lieutenant in the Fnited States army is responsible for the statement that the roads are better than necessary. He jualiiies it by spying "than necessary for my purposes." He is engaged in testing trucks and caterpillar tractors, and ays he needs the worst kind of roads imaginable. He appeared betöre commissioners to answer complaints of farmers that he had damaged roads in the northeast part of the county. The lieutenant admitted his machine may have done some damage to the highway, for which he was sorry, and he would try to have them repaired at government expense. For his purposes the deeper and tstickier the mud the better, he said. Arrangements were made for him to use just certain county highways which it was thought would come near meeting his requirements.

DOWN AND OUT INSURANCE AGENT COMES BACK He is Now A Live Wire
For a bmg time one of our be.-t local insurance men had been steadily gdng down hill, losing his ambition, disheartened, with no interest in existence, wauried, nervous, no appetite, and generally played out.
