Hy Jcliosepliat Sparc. Considerable progress was mado by the officers of the Indiana 15owlini association dnrinp the past weeK in the interest of the tourrmmer.t of that body, which is to lie held in this city during the month of April. Sec'y H. Gentle made a swin" around a juartet of cities, visitins Hlkhart, Goshen. Llonier and Fort Wayne. He returned with a splendid report, praising the enthusiasm rhown in every city visited and is sanguine that the coming tournamentwil! be the largest in the history of the organization. Xext week Gentle expects to visit cities in the other direction, having in rnind Laporte, Michigan City, Gary, Hammond, Lafayette and possibly Crown Point. Howlers from those cities always take great interest in the state tournament and !t is likely that representations from that district will be obtained at thu same ratio as those from the other end of the state for the tournament. In harmony with the campaign thJ r.ucktails will probably roll a match tame with the famous I'delweiss Uam at Gary next Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon. Knthusiasm and interest amonglocal bowbrs is in accord with that of the officials and it is believed tint every club in every league in the t ity will enter the tournament. Hut-im ss men are also 'getting into the thing in the mr.tter of offering oP'cia. prizes for different events in tn- tournament. The prizes offered by the local business men and manufacturers will be awarded for ents confined to that entirely of local bowlers, which will give the home bo s a chance to get something in return other tnan interest and .p!rit of the thing.
