STUDEBAKER CLUB MINSTRELS AT THE OLIVER DEC. 3 AND 4 The Oliver theater announces as it attraction for Monday and Tuesday evenings, Dec. and 4. the .Studebaker club minstrels.. Iieport.s from members of the club in charge of the show, indicate. that the performance to be given, will be tluequal of any professional minstrel troup in the country. There is some old time minstrel talent in the Studebaker organization, which has been pressed into service and used for foundation upon which to build a successful shew. Three weeks ago tho first rehearsal wis held and since that time it has been one continuous grind of afternoon and evening rehearsals to put this aggregation into a smooth running and well oiled minstrel troup. Special care was taken in sole ting the balance of tlie members, who make up the ca.t. Pleaty of excellent materia! was secured out of the 4,000 or more Studebaker emploves. s.ome of the old time plantation melodies, without which a performance of this; kind would not be a real minstiel show, are part of the program, but there will also be many new song hits and a number of excellent specialty acts, which are new and original. The best opportunity in the world is given to the end men to make their jokes "local." and there is little doubt but that none of the old "gags" which have been "cracked" in minstrel shows for years past, will be forth-coming Monday and Tuesday evenings. The Studebaker 1 lab minstrels 'have bfen worked up in a three ( part performance.
