The South Lend merchants have been contributing in a liberal manner to the cause of the South Lend units now in federal service at Leeper park. Through the generosity of several corporations the camp was yesterday able to raise a large l!ar, pole from which (ld (llory waves from six in the morning 11 til parade or retreat at night. The Indian. i & Michigan Plectrio company yesterday gave t lie services )'" six men to raising a large pole contributed by the South Lend Supply company. The latter corporation also donated the use of 4 '.' feet of wire neres.-ary for use as guys. Homes have been found for 1 children and three were returned to their parents.
