The question as to the naturalization of Polish citizens who came from that part of Poland now under control of German armies through military conquest has never come hefore the circuit court, and no ruling on the status of such Poles has been announced. The federal statute governing the admission to citizenship of enemy aliens is as follows: "No alien who is a native citiien or subject, or denizen of any ouin try, state, or sovereignty with which the Fnited States are at war at th? time of his application, shall be then admitted to become a citizen ot the Fnited States."
