CHICAGO. Sept. 0. Recommendations to all bakers- of the (Tutted States that the live cent loaf ot bread lo abandoned, and the 10 cent loaf standardized, were mnde after considerable discussion at the clo-sins session of the executive committee of tho Xational Association of Master Fiakers Friday. They urged that tho recommertlations be put into effect Immediately. Ernnnmir waste incident to the manufacture of the live cent loaf wa.s emphasized as a reason for its discontinuance. .Saving in manufacture, improvement in quality and standardization are urued in favor of the ten cent loaf. Friday night, many in "the audience were seized with panic und in their efforts to leave the building, a number of persons were injured, but none seriously, it is believed. The fire was extinguished before much damage had been done to the building. The injured include: Mrs. Deborah Lawrence. 2S years old. burned about th face and hair: 'Miss Ilessie Xathanson. Kessler of Iiporte was elected for the treasurer's position. The regiment which earned the sanguin-iry sobriquet of "Bloody ninth", because of its valor on the held of battle, mustered out Friday from its annual reunion, over half a century since their great chapter in history was closed. Of the thousand-odd men who marched to battle beneath the regimental battle fiag only 56 were alive and able to be present here. Friday morning saw the last meeting this year of the veterans. About 9 o'clock automobiles, whose use was donated by patriotic citizens.

RIQCA. O., Sept. 9. Thre auto bandits held up C C. Scott, jeweler, at the point of revolvers, forced him to pour diamonds and jewelry to the value of $3.000 out of shis show ease trays into loot bags, marched him to the center of the street, and then lied to a motor and escaped. Scott states that a chauffeur awaited in the car for the bandits. None of the men wore masks. The entire police organization of Ohio has been furnished with descriptions of the men and the car.
