Garoutte, ex-township trustee of Olive township, who passed away Saturday evening at his home here, were held at the residence Tuesday at 2 o'clock p. m., Hev. J. S. Van Orman of the Christian church othciatintr. Purial was in the New Carlisle cemetery. Mr. (laroutte is surveved by his wife, Olive Ackley Garoutte, three sons, Paul Horace and Thomas and four daughters Klla, Olive, Beatrice and Martha Garoutte. all at home. Otis Huff lodged a charge of assault with intent to r.iurder against Charles Hawks who Sunday evening shot his brother-in-law, George Copley at Vandalia. The examination of the men will be held in Justice Thomas court Sept. 7. and the case will go to trial during the September term of court which opens Sept. IS.
