TOLD TO LEAVE BELGIUM Germans Warned That Suffering M;y Ik? Their Lot. LONPON'. Aug. 14. German military authorities in Belgium says a news agency dispatch from Amsterdam have notified nil German civilians there to return to Germany immediately in order that they may not suffer poverty and misery during the coming winter. The dispatch is taken here as an indication that the German government expects Belgium to be the most important factor of war in a short time. An autopsy will be performed today in an effort to determine the cause of death of J. B. Jones and Oscar Hall, who died simultaneously in Hall's meat market shortly before noon yesterday. It is generally believed the men were poisoned but how has not yet been determined. Friends of tho men declare they often drank togethed. That poison may have ben placed in the whisky which they drank, is a theory advanced. A letter found in Jones pocket written Aug. 7. was addressed to Kobert K. Jones-, Hartford City. CATTLE HERD DESTROYED Animals Infected with Hoof and Mouth Disease. CHICAGO. Aug. 14. Another herd of cattle infected with the foot and mouth disease, has been discovered in Cook county according to reports made to the department of agriculture. The cattle are on premises adjoining those on which the disease was recently found in Wheeling township. The department has recommended that all cattle infected here be slaughtered and buried immediately.
