AT Till J IAKAJL.i:. The feature picture now .showing at the Iisalle theatre. "Hypocrites." has probably awakened more discussion than any other filmed drama over brought to South Henri. The special performance held Monday morning for tho benefit of the South Bend censor board, city officials, ministers and other Invited guests received hearty endorsement of tho pictures by all those present. The afternoon and
evening crowds taxed the capacity or
the theater. It is believed that tho attendance nt this picture will break
all records for some number of days.
Besides the splendid cast, elaborate
interior petting and beautiful moun
tain tcenes, tho dramatic episode in
the pictures created most Impressive
scenes and in the most spiritual sug
gestions and the most powerful moral lessons ever portrayed. It was frankly stated by many present at tho open
ing performance that the "Hypo
erites" ought to make every com
munity that fees it better in heart and snlrlt. more kind to others and
more gGnulne. Hypocrisy has existed in the human race from the beginning; but seldom is any community given an opportunity to see it brought right homo, in the form of the naked truth. The truth always hurt.', and the naked truth shocks; but this and every other community sadly needs to be shocked in this very way. If the lessons portrayed by these wonderful pictures will only be taken right home by all, and tho teachings lived up to. there will be more happiness, fewer broken hearts, less putrid gossip and a bigger and better and cleaner community than ever existed, right here at home. Tho "Hypocrites" will be shown at the Lasalle theater oday and tomorrow, giving all an opportunity who so desire to see this remarkable photo play.
