Professor of Chicago University Says He Knew They Were the Same Man Last November Others are Positive.
NEW YORK, July 8. All doubt was removed Wednesday that Frank Holt, who tried to kill J. P. Morgan, was Krieh Muenter. the Harvard instructor who dropped out of sitfht in r.fi; after beinR indicted for the murder of his first wife. His identity was established by three men who knew him in Cambridge. Mass., nine years ago as Muenter, and by the acknowledgment of Prof. Chester N. Gould of the University of Chicago that he knew Holt was Muenter when thev met last November at Cornell university. The three Massachusetts men. who viewed Holt's body at the Hempstead morgue, were Capt. S. P. Smith, state detective of the district attorney's office in Middlesex county, Miss.; Theodore Hillier. a neighbor of Muenter in CambridRx?, and A. .T. lirown, a lloston newspaper reporter. They brought with them the Pertiilon measurements of Muenter, which tallied exactly with those of Holt. They announced that Muenter had a peculiar piece of dental bridge work. It was the identical description of hrldRe work in the right Jaw of Holt. A specimen of tho handwriting of the missing Muenter was compared with the writing of Holt since ho was arrested. They were tho same in every respect. The three agreed that nothing but the presence of Muenter alive would convince them that he was not lying there dead in the person of Frank Holt. Put evet: before they communicated their information to Dist. Atty. Iwls J. Smith of Nassau county, there scorned to he convinchip evidence of Holt's dual identity In the statement of a tnan named Whitman, who informed the district attorney that he had known Muenter and that lie was positive from Holt's personal characteristics that he was the same man.

AT Till: IiASAIXi:. The feature picture at the Lasallo today is entitled "Her Own Way," and has Miss Florence Reed as the principal player. Miss Reed, whose work in the regular theater the past season brought her forward prominently in the principal woman part in "The Yellow Ticket," and who was en Raged especially by Charles Frohman and David Helasco to appear in their all-star production at the Kmpire theater. New York, in "A Celebrated Case," has been starred by the Popular Plays and Players company in their screen production of Civile Fitch's interesting comedy-drama, "Her Own Way." This was one of the lirst plays Mr. Fitch wrote for Maxine Klliott. and she appeared in it throughout America and in Kngland. The part of the heroine is one that severely test. the- emotional uualities of any dramatic star, and Miss peed is understood to give full value to the many strong scenes that are shown on the screen. In fact, the scenario for the film play was developed along emotional lines more decisively than was shown in the drama itself by reason of Miss Klliott's limitations in respect to emotional acting. The comedy subject is entitled "little Mi. Fixer" and is said to abound in laughable situations. on Friday Mary Pickford comes in her latest film success. "The Dawn of a Tomorrow." This idolized star of the Famous Players Film Co. adds another striking characterization to her notable repertoire of screen successes in that company's live-part adaptation of Frances Hodgson Harriett's great drama of optimism, "The Dawn of a Tomorrow." the worldfamous story of a young girl's unfaltering faith and triumphant ultimate re-ward. In this celebrated play that gladdened the hearts ef se many when presented on the stage with Eleanor Robson, and the screen version of which will cheer as many thousands more. Mary. Pickford portrays the weird and wonderful character of (ilad, the beautiful and ragged girl of the London slums, whose undying optimism and heroic cenirage even starvation and deadly peril are unable to quench. The delicacy of Miss Pickferd'i portrayal ami the threads of
