Ambulance Called for One Needed for Two, Swflering With i:pilopy.
The police ambulance was- called to Sample st. and the Vandalia railroad tracks when Albert Scifert was seized with an epileptic fit Monday afternoon. His brother, William Seifert, who was attending him. was seized with the same ailment before the ambulance arrived. Loth were removed to their home. 1 T 1 1 S. Lafayete st.. where it was reported Tuesday they were improving. AIlKAHiNLD FOR TUKSIMSS. William Lybaek, 501 S. Grant st., was arraigned in city court Tuesday morning when Martin Iiyback accused him of trespass upon the batter's promises. The defendant denied the charge and asked a continuance of the case. This was granted, trial being set for June 2. He was released upon his own recognizance.

Every mechanic who seeks work at the present time is aide to Met it but the supply of common laborers and factory laborers remains greater than the demand, according to the reports from the South Rend branch of the state free employment bureau. It is said that 0'.0 mechanics have been put on at Studebakcr's within the last two weeks, many of them finding the work through the employment bureau. The report of Supt. Murphy for the month of May shows that .'Ml. men applied for positions during the month and 132 of them were placed. There were ITS calls for help. Of the calls for women there were 0.0, while only ('.:: women applied for positions and 4 1 v'i" ilaced. Most of the calls for female help are for house servants or dishwashers and there is dilticulty in supplying this class of labor.
ELOPE TO ST. JOSEPH BUT ARE DISCOVERED Miss Mahle Nation, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nation, and Harry SHder took advantage of the holiday Monday to slip away from their friends to ,t. Joseph, where they w ere married. Their destination and their intentions, however, were discovered, and when they returned to South Rend in the evening they were met by a large company of friends. ORDERS EQUIPMENT FOR SOUTH BENDRIFLE CLUB Chief of Ordnance Provides o(V Rifles and 1K.000 Cartridges llanso Work Held Is Up.
Word has been received by .Sec'y r.abcoek of the South Tend Ride club that the chief of ordnance for the United states army has ordered the supplies for the club to be shipped to this city from the I!oi; Island arsenal. Those supplies will Include 30 U. .S. magazine rilles, model, together with IS, 00) ball cartridges and all necessary equipment. These supplies will he received soon. Cnforseen circumstances arising in connection with the securing of an outdoor range has resulted in delaying the work of securing the range so that it is not po-sible to tell at present just when the range will be in readiness. The new range, which is to be used jointly by the militia and the rifle club, was to have been located on the old Perley farm beyond St. Mary's and across the river from the old range. Objections raised by certain .South Rend citizens to locating the range at that place have delayed the work of erecting targets which it was thought to have in place hy this time. The matter is being handled from Indianapolis and South Bend otlicors of the militia believe that definite action of some sort will be taken this week.
