I loss, who plays licrtle the Lamb, old Nick's son. a boy who wants to be devilish but really doesn't like it. for he has inherited the qualities of his fattier, uses the cigaret as tho ordinary young man about town. SMYRNA BOMBARDED BY BRITISH SHIPS Defences of Town Said to IIae Suffered rent Damage During Sunday's Attack. ATHFNS, May 20. Seven British ships took part in the latest bombardment of Smyrna. Tho action commenced Sunday morning. It was resumed in the evening and busted until 4 o'clock Monday morning. The allies tired more than 500 shells. The fort of Smyrna and Two Brothers fort responded vigorously. The defenses of the town suffered great damage which the Turks axe vigorously endeavoring to repair. The Turks are strengthening the coast defenses with new batteries and trenches in view of an attempted landing. They are also erecting new fortifications and laying mine.s at the entrance to the port, prohibiting any approach thereto. litcr on Monday tho allies warships bombarded Smyrna fort, destroying an electric searchlight.
