CHICAGO, May 1. All the cavalry horses at Fort Sheridan were under quarantine today following the discovery of symptoms e,f hoof and mouth disease in six ef the animals. The eliseased horses, after careful edservation, were' destroyed by the post ve terinaria n. Col. Michaclson. commandant of the post, ordered that none of the ".12 cavalry horses be permitted outside of the pejst reserx'ation. The horses discovered afilictod with the disease were l.elicved to have brought it to Fort Sheridan from a camp in Arizona where they were quartered last year.
