Uut if other men can t;ive themselves to Hod, men that have been worse crooks than I ever was, I am sure that I can do tho same at this late day of my life." This was tho new view of living taken by James Kennedy, the f 1-year-old man who has served practically all of his existence in the penitentiary, when he went forward at th1 Iasalle st. mission last night and was eonverted. Kennedy's career in South Pond has been unusual. Last Wednesday night he stole a suit ease at tho liko Shore depot then presented himself to an otlicer and asked to be arrested. He was taken to jail and a larceny charge placed against him. Kov. A. (I. Sehafer of the Uasalle st. mission heard of Kennedy. Through his efforts Judge W. A.
