big negro who attempted to rob him of a suit ease and other valuables. The Mishawakan is said to have ably defended his valuables. A south side car approaching the couple stopped and several passengers alighted to give assistance. With the appearance of several people on the scene the negro started for the Lake rihore tracks and disappeared. Tlie matter was reported to the police.
