It was necessary to stretch a line of hose- and use a tank of chemieal. The run from Central was an-oth-.T insianee where the truck proved its worth in saving property from serious damage. The damage to the building will amount to about $300. entirely covered hy insurance. The furniture in the lower part of the house was removed by neighbors and bystanders. MEMORIAL SERVICE TO BE HELD AT ST. PAUL'S Irr. (Gardner Will Preax-li on Subject, "Iliy Way Is In the S;inctuary." "Thy Way Is In the Sanctuary," will le the subject of the pennon to be delivered by Dr. James K. Gardiner, at St. Paul's M. E. church tomorrow morning it the regular services, when the uhnuri memorial services will be held. Thlft in th 12th annual service of this character to be held in St. Paul's church. The Fervicc is held each year In memory of those members of the church who have passed away during tha year. This year the service will be more general in character as it will take into consideration all those who have been connected with the church who have been taken away during tho past 12 years, or since this special service was inaugurated. The names of all f--uch persons have been printed In a beautiful bulletin which will be distributed at the services. There are 200 names in the list, which includes not only "members" but a number "from the families of tho church." At this service the- choir will sing "He is Watching Over Israel," by Mendelssohn, and "Yea Tho I Walk," by Sullivan. Appropriate selections will be rendered by Max Miranda, organist of the church. WESTMINSTER CHOIR TO PRESENT CANTATA, "RUTH" ON SUNDAY EVENING One of the most ambitious attempts in a musical way which any South Bend church choir has attempted will be the sacred cantata t be given Sunday evening at 7:30 o'clock by the chorus choir of Westminster Presbyterian church. Tho cantata Is "Ruth" with -words by Edward Oxenford and music by Alfred G. Gaul. It Is divided into two parts. "Sorrow," the scene laid in the country of Moab on the road to Kethlehem, and "Joy," with the scere laid in the harvest lield at the abode of Naomi and at the gate of Kethlehem. The choir is under the able direction of Miss Feme Parker, supervisor of music in the public schools of the city, and Mrs. Lawrence Itomino is organist. The characters will be taken as follows: Naomi. Miss Jessie Willis, alto; Ruth. Mrs. J. Edgar Wilson, soprano; Orpah. Miss Lyle Whitcomb, alto; Boaz. Harry A.
