i:v hoys' 111:110. The small hoy has found another hero in J. Krncst Williamson, slayer ot sharks on the suhmarine prairies of the Wpm Indies. Thi.s feat, which is the "thriller" of the "Williamson Submarine Expedition", now being sIkhmi at the Oliver, seems much
more of an achievement to the youthful .seeker of adventure than killing Indians on the western prairie, the scene of Huffalo Hill's daring deeds of a generation ago. Armed only with a knife, this daring youth faced a monster whose huge mouth and six rows of gleamingteeth were waiting to crush out his life, and in the hncf time it is possible for a man to hold his breath under water, fought and won his battle while shade w y forms flitted silently around him, waiting to tear him from his fo? when the end came. Tin: AriiToKiuM. fleorgc JvJeine's "Iu Harry' featuring Mrs. Leslie Carter which shows at the Auditorium theater today will attract much curiosity and interest among students of the Louis XV. period. Aside from the magnificence of the court scone:-, the expensive gowns and beautiful exteriors of Versailles, the dim is conspicuous for much attention to historical detail that is sure to be missed by the great body of the audience. For instance the lilm shows in a singb scene which occupies only the fraction of a moment on the screen, a carriage such as was used in the fifteenth century by the nobility. It is a very handsome and ornate affair, drawn by four horses, gayly plumed and richly caparisoned, swung on a thick strap oi' leather which in appearance and probably effect, closely resembles the widely advertised cantilever springs of tiie modern automobile. This caniage was rented from a museum of antiquities in Turin and found to be in splendid sliipe despite its many years of disuse. "D11 Harry" i founded on the famous stage play of that name and feature., Mrs. Leslie Cuter in .he title role. The story is in six parts and occupied nearly six: months in the makintr. I'nder direction of (Jeorire
Kh-4ne all principal characters in the stage drama were taken to the big Kleine studios in irugliasco, Italy, where the proper environment could be hail and the many antiquities used , in the -picture obtained at first hand. F.ven then it was necessary to move the company to Paris and thence to Naples to get the correct local color

AT Tin: MAJESTIC. Vs. K. Kalston's Musical Comedy company made their first appearance at the Majestic urd scored a decided hit with the lively comedy, new songs and handsome dancing chorus. "The Girl Question" was the hill and all of the main points of the old LaSalle success were brought out in tabloid form. Mr. Italston played an eccentric old man part and created an abundance of fun. Fred Dunham, the young leading man, played a snappy role and sang delightful!:. including :x pleasing duet with Helen Urandon. Dorothy Ellis was charming and sang a swing song with Mr. Ralston with good effect. Other members of the cast were capable and the fresh girl chorus danced and wore attractive costumes becomingly. The bill will remain unchanged until Sunday.
she proves undoubtedly her mastery of the histrionic art. Mile. Deslys name is known from coast to coast, and in both hemispheres, hut her appfturance in motion pictures will undoubtedly place her before millions to whom her fame was before represented only by the printed and spoken word. She will also astonish many who have never suspected her ability as an actress. Her characterization is the most versatile seen on the screen in months.
A new song now popular in New York, entitled "Virginia Lee." ha,s just reached this city and is already being sung by some of the fair sex. "While the words tell the same old love-tale as in popular songs, the music is rather pretty and has a very haunting swing. The song was written by Jeff Hranen. author of "In the Valley of the Moon" and other songs. Here is a part of the chorus: VIRGiKIA LEE
