The suggestion met with the approval of the ommitteu and it was dee ided to have the contractors into the city lull for a meeting Monday afternoon. The matter was to have been laid before them at that time1. The fact that most of the sidt walks in the nsidenee portions of the city have been neglected during the past few snow storms, leaving them in an icy and dangerous condition was broagh out at the meeting. It was asked that every citizen of the city hire someone in need of the work to clean the walks surrounding his property.
