COCOANUT OIL FINE FOR WASHING HAIR

If you w ant to ke- p your hair in good" condition, the less soap you use the better. Most soaps and prepared shampoos contain too much alkali. This dries the scalp, makes the hair brittfe, and is very harmful. Just plain nvulsified cocoanut oil (which is pure and entirely greasdess. is much better than snap or anything else you can use for shampooing, as this can't possibly injure the hair. Simply moisten your hair with water and rub it in. One or two teaspoonfuls will make an abundance of rich, creamy lather, and cleanses the hair and scalp thoroughly. The lather rinses out easilv, and removes every particle of dust, dirt, dandruff and excessive oil. The hair dries quickly and evenly, and it leaves it tine and silky." bright. Huffy and easy to manage. You can get mulsifled cocoanut oil at most any drug store. It is very cheap, and a few ounces is enough to last everyone in the familv for months.

cameraman turned his little handle. "A Maid by Proxy," a Nestor comedy, will be seen today also.

A PATH OF SIXES. Edward Peple's farce, "A Pair of Sixes." that surely contains more hearty laughs to the minute than any other play of recent years, will be the attraction at tfie Oliver next Saturday matinee and night and Sunday night. An excellent company made up of such capable performers as Herbert Corthell. Oscar Figman, Josle Intropidi, Orlando Daly, Minna (Jombel, Rernice Ruck, Jack Raffael and Eleanor Fairbanks will appear. The story of "A Pair of Sixes" tells of the trials and tribulations of two pill makers who cannot agree as to how their business shall be run. They quarrel so often that they finally summon their attorney arid tell him to find some way out of their unpleasant partnership. The lawyer finally agrees that the two men shall play a game of poker and abide by the result. The winner to conduct the business for a year, the loser to act as the other's butler. They agree to this and a pair of sizes decides the result. The love interest is supplied by the fiance of the losing partner, who after a great deal of trouble, shows the astute lawyer that some times a lone queen of hearts is better than a pair of sixes. AT THE OKPIIEUM. The new bill at the Orpheum beginning today features Herbert Lloyd and company in a burlesque on vaudeville. Lloyd Is known as "The King of Diamonds" and employs six comely girls to assist him in presenting his act which is said to be a real novelty. Columbine and the Harlequins, a spectacular dancing act based on on of the old English pantomimes, features a girl and four men an a uniquely costumer dancing idea. Al Abbott, known as the prince of songs, will offer new selections; Welch, Meeley and Montrose present a comedy sketch. "The Understander," and Palfry, Rarton and Brown have a vaudeville novelty introducing singing and dancing. AT THi: IjASALLM An unusual touch was given to certain sea scenes in "The Education of Mr. Pipp." the Alco release in which Digby Hell stars and which will be seen at the IaSalle theater today. Augustus Thomas of the All-Star Feature corporation, whoso production Mr. Pipp is. took the company out to sea. It will he rememhered that some of the C.ibson drawings upon which the photoplay is based and which also formed the basis of the legitimate plav dealt with the voyage to Europe of the Pipps of Pittsburgh. Some of the Pipps were seasick. The actors had no intention of going to this extreme for the cause of art. Hut the waves were rough, the vessel rolled and they were seasick. And the

AT THi: MA.IKSTIC. The Majestic company began Sunday their ISth week and presented one of the most pretentious hills of musical comedy ever seen at that theater. "A Night in Chinatown" is the name of the new production and the spectacular scenes, electrical effects and big song numbers are worthy of anv traveling organization. The Chinese district of San Francisco furnishes opportunity for many original and amusing scenes and the enlarged companv is seen In congenial characters. Eddie Wright introduces. "Chinatown." with new effects. Helen Durfor sings, "My Tokio" with novelty dance features. Lou Mathews and Phyliss Eltis offer Joseph E. Howard's unique "dope" number. "What's the UseHf Dreaming." and Iora Lorraine sings, "The Glow Worm," in German with pleasing effect.

AT THE COLONIAL. The Colonial shows today a tworeel drama. "Her Menacing Past." It Is the story of a girl who has been associated with her father in a numof shady transactions. She is injured by a fall and a young doctor nurses her back to health. A romance follows and she forsakes her former

You Can't Brush Or Wash Out Dandruff

The only pure way to pet rid of dandruff is to dissolve it, then you de

stroy it entirely. To do this, pet about four ounces of ordinary liquid arvon; I

apply it at nisht when retiring; use enoiiKh to moisten the scalp and rub it in gently with the finger tips. Do this tonlsht. and by morning most, if not all, of your dandruff will he pone, and three or four more applications will completely dissolve and entirely destroy every single sisn and trace of it, no matter how much dandruff you may have. You will find, too, that all itchins and disgins of the scalp will stop at once, and your hair will be Huffy, lustrous, plossy, silky and soft, and look and feel a hundred times better. You can set liquid arvon at any drutr store. It is inexpensive and never fails to do the work.
