The temporary success of tho Germans cannot bo maintained, the military' critics of London declare. Otto Szalay has petitioned the superior court to grant him a divoice from Anna Szalav on the grounds that she has deserted him. He says that they were married in June, 1912, and that his wife left him in October of the same year declaring that she did not love him and refusing to accept aid for herself or her child. H. Lewis Price petitions tho same court to grant him a divorce from Lillian Price on tho same grounds. He says that they wero married in January, 190 7, and that his wife left him in April of the same year. SEEKS TO BE GUARDIAN Lmluika Witucki Asks Court For Care of Grandson. Ludwika Witucki. as grandmother of Sylvester Kubiak, has petitioned the circuit court to remove Francis Pinkowski, aunt of Sylvester, as guardian of the boy. The petitioner alleges hat the boy's father had desired that she have full control of him and she says that she is better able to care for him than is his aunt. Tho latter has just filed a petition also to have Joseph Wypiszynskl removed as administrator of the estate in her favor as she is a relative of the decedent. CITY'S THIRD MISSION TO BE OPENED TONIGHT One of the Men AVho Was Convert ed at liist Side Mission Will Be Placed In Charge. South Bend's third mission will open tonight and it will be in charge of tho men who have been converted through tho efforts of the first city mission, the one established on W. Lasalle av. The new mission will be located at 1305 W. Washington av., and tho penny lunch counter will be one of tho features. Nightly meetings will bo held at 7:30 o'clock. Work of fitting up the mission is about completed and it is expected to be ready by 6 o'clock tonight. Whilo .Rev. A. G. Schafer, who has charge of the east sldo mission will .be tho nominal head, the real work of directing tho mission will be in charge of Jack McCalpin. hailing from Canada, who went to the east side mission some weeks ago and was converted. STORE PLAN DISCUSSED No Definite Action is Taken at Labor Men's Meeting.
