Quilhot, who was arrested last niiiht upon a charge of public indecency and lodged in the county jail, was the principal factor in the proceedings relative to the resignations of Thomas OConncll and Charles Keller from the police -force. Orlieer Keller was charged by the board of safety with insuborination and lack of diligence in finding out the conditions on his 'beat" or territory. Ott'a er O'Connell was charged with drinking on duty. Quilhot. the inetigator. being the man who said that he drank with O'Connell. An opportunity was given both officers by the board to wori: until the first of the month, but Mr. Keller resigned at once, tossing his badge
