Frank, 705 Oak st., at a watch party. At cards the favors were awarded Mrs. G. Fritz. Mrs. F. Ambos. Mrs. Fred Farell, J. Chamberlain, Will Kakel and Fred Farcll. The free for all prize was given Paul Thielka. A three course luncheon was served at midnight to about CO guests. The club will meet next Thursday with Mrs. L. B. Davis. No. 5 Taylor ct. Mr. and Mrr. ENGINEERS COMPLETE Consulting Experts Finish Survey and Have Consultation With Commission Sloan, Huddle, Foestal and Freeman of Madison, Wis., the iirm of consulting engineers hired by the city to represent South Hend in its tight for a lower electrical service rates form the Indiana and Michigan Fleet ric Co., have completed a preliminary surey of the situation here, according to Mayor Keller, and have gone to Indianapolis for a consultation with tho Indiana public service commission. A complete inventory of the properties of the electric company will be started by the engineers within the month according to the mayor. "There is no place like hoirfr," says Frank Koss, 16 year old high school student, who ran. away from the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Koss, 4 li t W. Navarre it., on Dec. 17. Young Ross has returned home after traveling more than 2,500 miles through the west since he .left this city. He was unable to fulfill expectations in an examination at school on Dec. 10. Feeling that he could not bear to tell his father of his failure, young Ross decided to shift for himself. Drawing $50 from the bank, he went to Chicago, where he bought a ticket to Trinidad, Colo. Passing through Denver the boy finally reached Trinidad, where he witnessed events of the prevailing strike there. I loss stayed with some friends until Christmas day, when he became homesick. A letter was written to his parents, who were searching for the boy. The father immediately wired Frank a railway ticket and the runaway lad returned home.
