Nov. 7. The admiralty announces that in the light with a German squadron off the coast of Chile the Goodhope, Admiral Cradock's Hagship, floundered. The fate of the Monmouth is not known. The foregoiiv; settles the doubts as to the fate of the Goodhope which remained in the minds of the Germans after the battle. Thursday's dispatches from Valparaiso stated that the Goodhope withdrew from the battle after an explosion on board.
