It is melodramie in theme and has the oft-used locket identification as the principal fi'at.ire of the ilot. The story is admirably staged in every smallest detail. The characters interpret their parts with extraordinary comprehension of the author's creations; in fact, the acting could hardly be excelled. Larsen, the Sea Wolf, is played by Hobart Bosworth, and affords a character-studv which absorbs the spec

tator throughout. Larsen is

; rougn capiain or a piraxe seaier, ne is nearness, cruel, even ! brutal at times. On the other hand, he is naturally refined, I very intellectual and possesses an inborn desire for knowledge.

He loves tne beautiful, and way down deep in his heart longs for the normal environment and happiness of the normal man in daily life. Denied these, he accepts life as a stoic, greets each experience as its master, and lives to the end with unconquered spirit. Even lying blind and stricken, knowing his last days have come, he remains undaunted.
