Mdiarci Haivkesworth Sasjl Du.rant The mazes of the maxixe are mystifying no longer. f c ourse there are variations of the dance, such as the lulu fado. which only the advanced disciples of tho modern dance are attempting, but the real maxixe will bo easy for everybody this winter. The first movement is the promt1 node; the second, the single arch: the third movement i.s the skating step, a long, sliding step; the fourth movement is the twining skating step. In n the fifth movement, called la coquette, each partner dances a few sto ps to one side of the other while tile hands remain clasped. The sixth mo vement is the double arch, where all four arms are raised: the seventh movement, the spinning step; the eighth and final movement, la maxixe itself.
