William J. Lmwr Alleges Wife Attemp.ted Several Times to Kill Him.
MICHIGAN CITY. Ind.. Oct. 1. William J. lower, a prominent and wealthy hardware merchant of Laporte, Ind., today started divorce proceedings in the superior court of this city, against Minnie Lower. They were married May 30. 1S88, and separated Nov. 15, 1 y 1 1 , when she abandoned him. Their domestic troubles commenced in the summer of 1911. Several times the complainant recites, she attempted to kill him, once with a revolver, then with a pair of shears and again with a razor which she took to bed with her and later with a butcher knife. The first three occasions he claims
