DO NOT BE AFRAID Do not be afraid to ask questions here. We consider it one of the cardinal virtues of good store keeping to have you know about our stocks and our prices. It pleases us to answer questions quite as much as it pleases you to get the reply. So "do not be afraid.' We are here to serve the public as we ourselves would wish to to be served if the positions were reversed.

ijv josrjMi r. pnrrriiAiii). CIIICAC.O. June 2 0. Nearly all the cash wheat in the Chicago market has been chartered to go out. This makes

the conditions surrou tiding the cah article stronger than it otherwiso would bo. The charters Friday were 600,000 bushels to so to Buffalo at 7-S and 500,000 bushels sold for direct export. Rev. Thomas Irving, C. S. C. Ph. D.. rector of lloiy Cross seminary, Notre Dame, dwelt on the fact that the commencement was not the ending of a certain career in the life of the student, but as the name implied an assuming of the duties of a new and larger sphere: "Commencement exercises," said the speaker, "were always an inspiration to do things, to accomplish new objects, to attain higher ideals, and to lead a better life in every way." Kev. John F. DeGroote, C. S. C. pastor of the church, congratulated the graduates on the closing of a most successful year, and said that the class had shown their appreciation for the efforts of the pastor and of the teachers during their school careers. Diplomas for finishing the grammar school course in St. Patrick's school were presented to Francis Kelly, Joseph Cunningham, Leo Anderson. Carl Schubert. John McCarthy, Oscar Wolf, Lucian Cuilfoyle. Joseph Nyikos. Hart. Id Wahlen and Harold

In National Amphitheater. The setting for the affair was the natural amphitheater back of the casino where a platform strung with Incandescent lights was arranged for a chorus and the accompanist. Miss Gladys Watters. To right and left were tall gates, one representing the entrance to America by way of Ellis island and the other the gate of Opportunity through which the American girl comes to more abundant life. Following the opening march in which almost 200 girls in the costumes of various nations participated congregated without the gate representing the entrance to America. As the gates opened revealing them, there stepped up to greet them the Spirit of Christian America in the pr. son of Mrs. Frash, who draped in old glory, made a most effective figure. In her delightful voice, well adapted to out of door work, she greeted the girls but proclaimed herself, in answer to their song of appeal, at a loss to know how to deel with them alone. As she spoke, from the other gate appeared the Association spirit in the person of Miss Madtre Woodward, accompanied by her three helpers. Recreation. Miss Olga Rosencrans; Education, Miss Titzel; Inspiration. Miss Frances Toy, who offered their assistance to Christian America, 'As they come through the cites there appears also gray clad Indjstry. Miss Alice Kcklr, with her arms full of raw materials ready fur "young strength and hands uncrippled by machine or loom". In turn they are introduced, to the Spirit of Christian America and In turn go among the foreign girls each drawing a certain portion after her.
