The Dawn of a Rre v Enterprise

Since the 1 5 tli of January, when the building: was enclosed lv the contractors many remarks have been heard asking- what we were doing and what kind of a front we intended to put up. Now that the last of the scaffolding has been removed, the front is the wonder and admiration of South Bend. The larce double entrance with its wide vestibule is in a class by itself, while the immense show windows lends to further expressions of their capacity. Expense has not been spared in giving South Bend one of the finest fronts that is a credit to the city. The contractors are verv busy on the inside and in a very short time will have everything in readiness to turn over one of the tinest arranged stores. Every department has been previously arranged for "Good Service" and with such a large addition of space the comfor of shopping is assured. Announcement will be made later of the grand opening that is being planned. Meanwhile the stock is being rapidly reduced by the generous cut in prices to lessen the burden of removal; also to make room for the enormous arrivals of new goods. Thanking the public for its generous patronage, we remain, Yours respectfully, ROBERTSON BROS. CO.

M H wife and before their baby came was kind and considerate of her. Any man who has U be forced into ever.v act of affection far his wife, who takes the part of every person and circumstance against her, will not make a successful husband and lather or have a happy wife or pleasant home. Birrs y liiiowx. war i : i : v v x ; a llant. Helen Curtis is an ideal woman of womanhood. Mr. Curtis also is a man amongst men to the fullest extent of the word. Helen grow up in the most pleasant environment of a home nn idolized daughter of loving and affectionate parents suited to her line instincts of everything that was noble and true nni amongst this her nature was matured to wind she is, a noble, soul-hearted woman. Mr. Curtis by all of bis good, manly qualities as a man with irnAi is not the man for a woman of Helen nature. He commands and demands where he should act for in a kindly manner. In many instances he treats Helen cns if she is nothing else to him as some subordinate individual, take what I hand out to you. I think Mr. Curtis ought to show Helen now and then some gallantry nnd a little more consideration, but Instead for him to be kind and gentle he snubs her. Helen's and Warren's I) IT bwi life would be sunremelv hapnv if Warren would conduct himself i properlw It is Warren's fault that their married life has many frictions. L II. H. WILL UK HAPPY LATKK. In Helen's and Warren's case I think much of their trouble is imaginary, but believe that il Warren had more consideration and less selfishness, their lives would be more peaceful. He no doubt catered to her everv wish before marriage. Y hy shouldn't she expect it now. He

should be more tender with her now than then, as she is a mother, and has cares that he never dreamed of. It takes more than being a good provider to bring happiness to a sensitive woman and if lie persists in his indifferent ways no doubt Helen's patience will cease. MRS. (WRITOX. not rorxn My opinion is t!ii:msi:lvi:s. that neither is to blame. They are both happier than they know. They are a type of married couples which we have (without number) in the present day, a type that it takes to make the world g around. The only troulde at present, Warren and Helen have not found themselves. I woubl judge that theirs in later years will be a happy and well or der life. n. I. X. WARRKX A CROSS RARY. T have enjoyed the second year of married life very much, and know the third year will be fully its equal. As to the opinion of who is to blame. Warren reminds me of a great big cross baby, and every . time he bawls the whole family has to run and wait on him, and I cannot see that any one is to blame but himself. It's natural for a woman, if she loves her husband, to want to come first and she should come first and be considered before his or her people. He should take her part in all tilings. Just one or two kind words to Helen would make her the hajmiest little woman in the world. L. J. I. i:vi:ry ray pi:opli:. I think Helen and Warren are very good examples of every dav life. Although we each have troubles of diflerent kinds, and different yet from theirs, but they are certainly good examples of unhappiness. Xone of us are perfect.
