BOAT FIGHTS IT WAY THROUGH ICE FOR MEN Indiana Harbor Fishermen Had Cluns to Cake of lee in Lake for Several Hours. CIIICAC.O. Feb. Fighting her way through ice floes that threatened momentarily to stave in her timbers, the. wrecking Ui William A. Field reached a cake of ice in the midst of the grinding mass off Puilington, Ind., late Saturday, barely in time to save two fishermen who had been marooned on the ice cake since dawn. One hundred feet astern of the field came the fireboat Illinois which had started to the rescue only a few minutes after the big wrecking tug. The men rescued were: Adolph Larsen, 20. and his brother, Edward. o.r, Indiana Harbor fishermen. They started out early Saturday in a L'O-foot yawl equipped, with ;i gasoline engine. The engine stalled when they were two miles off shore. After drifting for more than an hour, it e lloes closed in on the craft and splintered it. His portrayal of Charles Dickens is life-like and the bits of humor from the noted writer complete an artistic studv. -V dramatic bit called "At the Telephone," gives him opportunity for vivid acting, and his closing number, a parkbench philosopher, is well acted. He does not need the lighted match business to sustain interest and it has been overworked so often that it really detracts from an otherwise perj feet perfor mance. Schreck and Percival live up to their title of animated acrobatic absurdities and Schreck's table rocking 'created more than usual excitement. Seabury and Price offer a singing and cartoonist act and the Acme Four harmonize pleasingly. EXTEND STAY. On account of the bad weather, the "Les Miserables" motion picture drama at the Oliver theater will extend its stay until next Thursday. They will give over the house Monday afternoon and night to the production of George Bernard Shaw's great play, "Fanny's 'irst Play," showing Mon day afternoon at the high school auditorium for the benefit of high school students only. There will be an exceptionally strong picture show on at the Auditorium today comprised of all special feature?. Anderson, who is a great favorite, in a western drama entitled "Lroncho Hil'v's Guardian" i fcdlowed by Sidney Drew in a screamj ing comedy in two reels called j "Pickles, Art and Sauer Kraut." I For tomorrow the ever popular Pathe Weekly of current events is on as usual, with some especialy strong subjects in adition to a sensational three-reel Pathe feature "Thp Plaek Countess" and "A Husband's Awakening" telling the story of a wife and child neglected by a busy husband, who finally awakes to a realization of his neglect.
