Mrs. Bert Overly, accompanied by her brother, Alexander Ballman, of Covington, Ky.. arrived here Thursday evening bringing papers by which they hoped to secure the custody of William Overly, four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Overly, who was brought here last week by Overly. Overly was accused of kidnaping the child by its mother. However, the papers, which the police supposed would be requisition paper, as Mrs. Overly had been advised to come prepared with such documents, proved to be only a certirifcd copy of a Judgwent secured in a court at Covington since Mr. Overly left, it is said, giving her the custody of the child, and a communication from Humane Officer J. A. Cherrington of Covington, setting out that Mrs. Overly is a woman of excellent character and well able to take care of her son.
