THE TOWN OF

LIBERTY IS laid out at the centre of Union County, Indiana, on a handsome and elevated site, in a populous arni healthy neighborhood, and on a handsome and liberal plan. Engagements

are now made to erect suitable build

ings for a Court House and Jail, on the Public Square in said Town, which will be partly accomplished the present season. A petition.

signed by a large majority of the citizens of the said county of Union,

will be presented to the ensuing

Legislature ot the State, praying lor

the removal of the Seat of Justice to

the Centre of the same. We, there

fore, fell justified when we say, that.

in all probability, this Town will,.

at some future day, and that not far distant, become a Seat of Justice; inasmuch as the present Seat of Justice is entirely remote from the centre, and from the relative situation

of the county no additional territory can be had. THE SALE OF LOTS in said town will commence on SATURDAY the 22d of June jiext, at 10 o'clock, A. JI. at which time the Terms of Sale w ill

be made known, which will be liberal.
