Down Went Old Mercury To Sixteen Degrees Below Zero.
The cold spell which has continued for twenty-two days reached its very coldest Wednesday night, when the government thermometer at the college registered 16 degrees below zero at one o’clock. By morning it had moderated some but at 8 o’clock the same thermometer registered 6 below. Today it is cloudy and cold and apparently the clouds are ready to dump another layer of snow into us as soon as the weather moderates enough to permit it. This is indeed an old fashioned winter. Owing to the severe winter and the high cost of feed. I will advance the price of milk commencing January i, 1910, to March 1, 1910.
