Stonehill Says Jessen Claimed to Edit Jasper County Democrat.

The wife of John Jessen, who is well known here, having worked in Brook and vicinity a great deal, has applied for a divorce in the Jasper circuit court. John was * finely educated and considerable of a writer, having at one time charge of the political columns of the Rensselaer Democrat —so he told us—but his stomach was soured on three-fourths of creation, so he took up a mongrel creed between socialism and democracy and lambasted right and left. John is now supposed to be down in New Mexico herding mosquitos or teaching the greasers religion.
