State Gets $19,928.20.

The largest fee yet collected by the secretary of state from a manufacturing corporation under the act requiring a report to that official of increase of capital stock in incorporated companies operating in the state was paid Tuesday by the Indiana Steel company, of Gary, which registered an increase in its capital stock of $19,900,000, thereby increasing the capital stock of the concern to $20,000,000, the fee for registering being $19,926.50. To this was added $1.70 for a certified copy of the report, making a total of $19,928.20. The increase was voted in a meeting of the stockholders of the concern, whiqh was held at Gary, December 20. This is the third largest fee ever received in the office under the increase of capitalization law. The largest was paid by the Wabash Railway company, which paid a fee of $65,000 some time ago for reporting an increase of capital stock. The second largest was paid by the Vandalia Railway company, a fee of $25,000. 7 . •
