The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Longstreth, of Parr, died Tuesday of pneumonia, and the funeral took place this morning at 9:30 o’clock, burial being made in Mt. Trustees Shirer, Snipp and Clark, of the north end, came down today to attend the farmers’ institute, see if any of their school boys o” girls are winners in the corn, bread and apron contests and incidentally do a little Chrismas shopping. Scarlet fever is reported to have secured quite a hold in East Chicago, Indiana Harbor, Gary and Hammond. Parents should be very watchful and call a physician at once if there is the slightest indication of the disease here. No gift, is more pleasing and practical than a piece of nickel plated ware. E.
