Warren Washburn Operated On For Appendicitis Sunday Night.

Warren • Washburn, owner of the Goodland Telephoneand brother of Dr. I. M. Washburn of this city, was operated on for appendicitis at his home at Goodland Sunday evening. Mr. Washburn had never had a previous attack of the disease. He was seized suddenly Saturday night and summoned his Goodland physician who found that he was suffering an acutd*' attack of, appendicitis. He called Dr. Washburn over from here and it was decided that an immediate operation ‘would be necessary, and a surgeon was called from Chicago, arriving there on a night train. The operation was successfully performed, but the surgeon found his condition such that he stated that a delay of 48 hours would doubtless have cost the life of the patient. Dr. Washburn will remain at his brother's side until sometime Tuesday.
