Sleighs and bob-sleds were not brought out in very great numbers following the heavy snow of Monday night, somewhat, doubtless through the doubt on the part of the owners as to how long the snow would remain on the ground and somewhat because the strong wind which followed the snow had blown it about all off the road bed and into the ditches. Another snow is now falling, however, and the forecast is that it will continue throughout tonight and tomorrow. Today was gray from early morn and the snow set about its work quietly at about 1:30 o’clock and to all appearances we are to have a good big fall of the beautiful and that it will not be accompanied by heavy drifting winds. Sleighs and bob runners will now be brought out by almost all horse owners.

Further information was procured this morning about the sickness of Miss Kate Mahanna, the Delphi school girl, about whom an article was copied from the Delphi Journal. She is a niece of J. W. Childers and also of Mrs. Isaa6 Stucker, and for some time has been at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stucker in Newton township. She has not been attending school for some time owing to poor health and recently has been much worse. Her mother, Mrs. Cecelia Mahanna, has been at her bedside but returned to Delphi yesterday, leaving her daughter somewhat better.

A nice Christmas present would be a set of visiting cards. We will print them at 25 for 35 cents, 50 for 50 cents or 100 for 75 cents, or will have them engraved. Prices vary greatly in- engraved work, and engraved orders require about a week to be executed.' The engraved copper plate is furnished with each order, and the work is executed by the leading engraving firm in Chicago. Buy your father, brother, or beau a nice bath robe, smoking Jacket, combination set, half dozen hose, Kingsbury hat, fur cap, or nice warm gloves. You will find the best line in the city at my store. C. EARL DUVALL. The nice winter weather that started in last week spilled badly Saturday night and Sunday. A drizzling rain throughout Sunday wound up with a heavy fall of rain early this morning and then the .weather turned colder and a snow is falling this afternoon, accompanied by a breeze from the west that forbodes a bad night. The weather man has promised a clear day for tomorrow. This year we have a larger and better assortment of Christmas candies than usual. We will be pleased to have every school teacher and buyer of Sunday school candies look over our line and get our prices. \ JOHN EGER.
