Jinks Brenner Bays the MT. Ayr Story Was Entirely Impossible.

“Both false and defamatory,” says Jinks Brenner, in reference to the story copied by the Republican from the Mt. Ayr Pilot about him being skinned by a stranger out of $lO in gold. Says Jinks: “It is entirely impossible. In the first place no stranger ever came here claiming to be a gold inspector, and I never trusted my bag of gold coins to any one;* in the second place no stranger nor any one else ever got a $lO piece from me without giving Value received and in the third place I never owned a bag of gold. It’s all false.”
