The Message of President Taft An Able Document.
The message of President Taft was read to Congress Tuesday and was a somewhat -ghorter document than most of the messages of President Roosevelt. It contained 15,000 words. The paper Is regarded as a calm and profound discussion of problems confronting the nation, with no “big Jtlck” tendencies but a high ngard for platform promises and a desire to do whatever la for the nation’s greatest permanent welfare. A message is promised discussing two or three matters of special legislation.
