Wednesday being a holiday there were no classes. The chapel services were conducted by Father Sauer. ,1. A. Crawly, of Dowagiac, Mich., called on his son, Leo, last Sunday. The Misses Kirchen, of Chicago, spent Sunday here with their brother, Anthony. Rev. B. Didier, of Chicago, and Rev. F. Kock, of Reynolds, were welcome visitors during the week. Carmody has been elected captain of the basket ball team. The Religious defeated the Reps in two exerting games, one last Sunday and the other Wednesday. The last game was rather rough, resembling more a foot ball tussel with unimproved rules than a basket shooting match. The Reps are ready to take on outside games. On Saturday, Dec. 18th, the strong Manual Training School team, of Indianapolis, will be the first game of the season at the college. This was the only team that was able to defeat our last season’s strong aggregation. A fast game is looked for. The election for the officers of the second term in the O. L. S. was held last Sunday with the following results: Pres., T. Koenn; G. Pax; Sec., A. Berghoff; Treas. C. Staib; Crit., L. Spornhauer; Marsh., A. Copenolle; Ex. Com., B. Vobrs, J. Mclntyre, C.
