The three cases In which Sheriff Shirer is named as defendant are the outgrowth of a Judgment rendered in favor of Peter Brook against George MorJn, of Carpenter township. Brooks had a chattle mortgage against Morin's stock and farming implements and the court rendered judgment in the sum of $927.42. Bheriff Shirer had Deputy Robinson sell the mortgaged stuff but he did not realize enough to satisfy the Judgment and the court ordered that he levy on other stuff belonging to Morin. Taking a list of stuff from the tax levy he levled\on a mare, a buggy and a piano, which the plaintiffs in the above causes claim does not belong to George Morin but to themselves and which they seek, through Jap Guy, as lawyer, to recover possession of.
