At the home of John Bowman at Newland Wednesday at 12:20 o’clock, occurred the marriage of his daughter, Miss Zella Bowen, to Mr. Newton Kaupkee, of Gillam township. About twenty guests, some of them from Rensselaer, were gathered to witness the ceremony which was performed by Squire Chas. W. Bussell, of Hanging Grove township. After the bride and groom had received the Congratulations and best wishes of all present a fine dinner was served. Mr. and Mrs. Kupkee received a number of handsome and useful pifesents. The groom has furnished a home for their occupancy on the Joseph Eichelberger farm in Gillam township, where they will take up their residence. The wedding was one of the most happy ones that has taken place in that section for several months.
