BARKLEY.

Earl Barkley is moving to his brother Will’s, where he expects to make his future home. John Maxwell is getting along slowly with his broken foot. He will not be able to walk for some weeks yet. A Thanksgiving service will be held at Barkley M. E. church on Sunday, Nov. 28th, at 11 a. m. Everybody invited to attend. The first quarterly conference of this conference year was held at Lee on Saturday forenoon. Rev. A. T. Briggs presided. Mrs. Granville Moody has. been called to Wichita, Kaps., by the side of her oldest daughter, Mrs. G. N. Dunn, w’ho is very sick. The Missionary Society of the Barkley M. E. church met at the parsonage last Wednesday afternoon. Each member brought a chicken to the pastor, who feels very thankful to the society.
