Tippecanoe County Commissioners Grant Franchise to Interurban.

At a session Wednesday the commissioners of Tippecanoe county awarded the Indiana Northwestern Traction company, which is to run through Rensselaer, a franchise to build an electric road along the Monon railroad right-of-way from Battle Ground to the north county line. The conditions of the franchise are That ■ the line shall run from Battle Ground to Hammond, that the motive power shall be . electricity or other power than steam, that the company shall build and maintain necessary crossings and its own bridges, that the line shall be completed from Battle Ground to Reynolds within three years, and that it shall run for a period of seventy-five years. The commissioners signed the ordinance, and it has been forwarded to. the company for acceptance, the company having thirty days to file typewritten acceptance.
