Marble Ditch Casl Goes Over to Last Day of Term. * The petition of Horace Marble et al for the straightening of the channel of the Kankakee river will nqt come up for trial until the last day of the present term of court, if it comes up at all this term. The drainage commissioners who have been looking for an outlet below the Monon tracks are not yet ready to submit their report, and it is not improbable that an effort will be made to have the three mile strip connecting the part of the river already dredged with the east end of the Marble ditch included in the report of the commissioners. If this is done it is thought that the so far fixed will not/ have to be changed, but that enough more land owners may be taken in to pay for the additional expense.
