From time to time it has been printed on the newspapers that the greater part of the crimes committed was on account of the use of alcoholic drinks. , The public has made ft generous allowance for this information. There is not so much politics in England as here. The courts are under no obligation to the politicians. The* following taken from the public presft must therefore have great weight.
