Mrs. John Jacob Astor, Divorced; IS Notified at French Lick.

Mrs. John Jacob Astor, who has been at French Lick Springs, Tom Taggart’s resort since Oct. 30th, registered under the name of Mrs. Austin, of Renbank, N. J., received a telegram Monday notifying her that she had been granted a decree of divorce from her husband, the New York millionaire. It is understood that Mr. AstoC gave his wife $10,000,000, in lieu of alimony. Mrs. Astor does not exhibit any feeling of sadness and it is said that her expensive gowns and jewels are creating a great sensation at French Lick, where she had hoped to remain unknown, but New York guests recognized her. Mrs. Astor has stood aloof of the other guests except of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Thompson, of Redbank, N. J., whom she accordpanied. t.q French Lick and with daily plays golf. Mrs. Astor was married to John Astor in 1891. She was formerly Miss Ava Willing, of Philadelphia.
