Lost a Fiver in the Road and Found It Shortly After.
Frank Kresler, the bus man, considers himself lucky and this morning he convinced himself that his estimate of himself is all right, although for 'a time he was rather skeptical. He had several bills in a roll in his trouser pocket, and as he was returning from the college he thought he would place the bills in a bill book he carries on his inside pocket. He took the money out of his pocket and laid it on the bus seat and then got out his bill book. He thought he knew how much money he had in his pocket and when he counted it he was $5 short. He thought possibly he had expended that amount and forgotten about it, but after getting back to town he decided that he had lost the money some place on the eead and he got his brother, Dr. A. R. Kresler, and went over the ground in the latter’s auto. The trip to the college did not disclose the missing fiver but on the way back they found it, right in the wagon track, and one auto wheel had passed over it on the out trip. Frank is now convinced that he was born under a lucky star.
